The MALCO Women Empowerment Project was initiated to empower rural women. It was launched on April 5th 2009. More than 15 groups have taken up profitable income generation activities. MALCO focused on microfinance as a means of women empowerment.
MALCO engaged REEEDS NGO (Rural Environment Educational and Economic Development Society) as its project partner in implementing a women’s empowerment project. The project formed 62 self-help groups covering 818 rural marginalized women. Around 188 women were empowered to become entrepreneurs.
International Women Day Celebration
MALCO celebrated International Women Day on 06th March 2012. More than 400 women were participated and prizes were distributed to the winners to Self Help Groups sports meet.
