Health
At MALCO we focus on providing a workplace that is free from occupational health risk and hygiene hazards; and proactively working with employees and contractors to contribute towards a healthy work culture.

We have adopted a holistic approach in providing health care facilities to our employees and the nearby communities. Regular occupational health surveillance for all employees and contractors are conducted. Half-yearly check-ups are carried out for all employees as well as contract workers. The Company has provided Medi-claim Policy for all the employees covering their family members as well.

Safety
We are committed to providing a safe, secure and healthy workplace for all employees by using best technologies and practices; backed by our belief that all work related illnesses and injuries are preventable.

We take a systematic approach to managing safety and preventing incidents - such as spills, fires and accidents - that place our people, our neighbours, the environment and our facility at risk. This starts with implementing HR/HSE Policy and supporting integrated management systems. We require all our employees and contractors and their laborer to follow basic Safety Cardinal Rules in line with our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy and Commitment. This ensures that we manage health & safety systematically and have the right resources, skills, tools, standards and procedures in place.

Environment
We are an environmentally conscious Company, with a vision to use the best in class practices and improve performance year on year through robust operations management. Our efforts are aimed at optimizing resource consumption and minimizing our environmental footprint.

We strive to conduct business in a manner that is protective of the environment and compatible with the environmental needs of the communities in which we operate. We are committed to improving our environmental performance through scientifically sound and practical solutions with the goal of achieving zero environmental impact. We have commissioned the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant, wherein the waste water from the power plant after pre treatment will be recycled back to achieve zero liquid discharge and in turn contribute to the Company’s sustainable development initiatives. We endeavor to move beyond regulatory compliance and commit to sound environmental management and practices, providing adequate resources to fulfill our responsibilities and to continuously improving our environmental performance at every operational level.

Based on the nature of our operation and processes, we interact with environment in several ways. These interactions vary from release of gaseous emissions, consumption of energy & water, generation of solid waste, etc. Though, we have diverse environmental interactions, but all our endeavors are directed towards minimization of our impact on environment and ensuring the respect for environmental carrying capacity.
